Mark Cuban saying biggest technology revolution is coming over the next 10 years!! Haha

VR is going to be pretty huge,.

We are in trouble when VR finally makes waves into the mainstream... If you think people holding onto smartphones as they navigate city streets is a problem just wait for VR...
However as much hype there is surrounding VR I personally don't think it's going to take off as many believe it will....Facebook paid billions for a VR company a couple of years ago.....it will be a sad day when we are out in public and people are wearing these virtual goggles on their head....good thing Google glass didn't take off....that was nothing but hype....came and went....now people are wearing those idiotic Snapchat glasses....fools

Anyway this is the future of VR all in this one clip...

I think the ultimate VR will be... and don't laugh.... the ability to control the same brainwaves we use when we dream.

It will happen. Then people can do or be whatever they desire, as long as those images are already in their head somewhere. Sounds crazy... but I think someday that'll be the case. The Dream Machine.

Yea it's a possibility however it's probably more than a decade away.....so in the meantime will just have to deal with bigger TVs, refrigerators with tablets on the front of them, Snapchat filters and led lights that last longer than your average bulb and can change color to any flavor of the rainbow via smartphone!!!!

If anything, I go on a limb and would claim the opposite. They are just bringing back all the scientists and smart Chinese the US stole from China. The smartest Chinese in majority are not interested in working in the US anymore. Their country offers top opportunity and top dollar for highly intelligent people to work in various sectors. The US did a very good job attracting top talent from around the world. But the next one or two or even more centuries will belong to China.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here Z... but if history is any guide....anything China has, they stole from us.

Z..... you know way more than me. I ain't blind.
You're probably right.
Those links I posted are what "has been". Not the future.
No Zandy crystal ball on this one. It only works for certain things.
Predicting the herd at least short term.... I got that one nailed. ;)

No doubt the private sector offers good opportunities for locals and the salaries increase fast ,I saw recently the average numbers for Shenzhen university new graduates in 2016, their income was 20% higher than it was in 2014, and several sections had over 98% of the students already working in 2016 while the graduation is in October of the same year, which is bewildering considering some local kids who have neither interest nor need in working ( it's tough to fill empty posts for small/non glamour companies in SZ).
Also I know some expats working for multinationals who are replaced by locals on a higher salary (but without the expat perks), and plenty of local executives obviously make a very good living even by western standards.
Yet not so sure when it comes to government jobs, even for scientists. I remember an article during the recent stock market rout and the numerous government interventions in the market, talking about how the chinese government had reached succesfully to chinese nationals who moved to the West to work as finance executives for them to come back to the Mainland and help the Securities regulators, and not only did they receive a salary which was much lower than what they'd gotten used to, but the journalist argued they had been allowed little influence on the process.
Besides this article, it seems the government salaries are indeed quite low in China.

I remember that 70% of all students in my US grad school program were Chinese. To my knowledge every single one of them was placed in full time jobs at hedge funds, buy side firms, ibanks, and other financial firms in the US. And to my knowledge not one of them still lives in the US, all of them relocated back to China. To me that tells a lot mostly about the opportunities in China even in the financial sector, more so than the fact that a number of them lost jobs (and found jobs again in the US) during and after the financial crisis, among those who were still present in the US when the crisis hit in 2008

Oh, while I'm surprised 100% of the students who had found a job in the US have come back to China, there's no doubt the financial sector in China offers good opportunities and whereas Shenzhen still seems behind Shanghai, especially when it comes to multinational finance companies, there are in SZ also returnees from good US positions in that sector , I was just mentioning some doubts about high income related to government jobs.

Agree, but that's China. Chinese apply to government jobs not for current salaries but future prospects of powerful positions.
