Given that the pendulum has swung so far to "pass, pass, pass", maybe Dallas has lucked into the old "run first, pass second" offensive system, much like Dallas enjoyed from 92-96. Defenses aren't prepared for that any more, so doing something different is an asset.
If rebuilding, maybe a team ought to focus on the O-line. Then get a quality RB. Then everything on D - line, corners, secondary... Finally, get a quality QB that fits the "system".
It seems to me that a great D, and solid O-line are key - that gets them to the playoffs. The QB, RB, and WR get them to the Super Bowl.
