Also, you have no idea what the guy is buying (or selling) the options for. For all you know he could be hedging a much larger bond put on over at the CME. Heck, he could be an option trader of the CME bond options trying to arb something. It never works to try and guess what a guy is trying to do in these types of products.

Because of the nature of the tlt product I doubt they're just selling premium. On the other hand there is no doubt at all the trade was shopped and agreed on off the floor and just crossed on the floor.
