It is a big deal, every president below 48 % at election time has lost re election including Ford who iirc was around 45% .Trump also has to deal with enthusiastic democrats and minorities so pissed off they came out in big enough numbers to elect a Democrat Senator in Alabama.Of course Trump wont have help from Russia and Comey next time eithier.

This theory is being tested as we speak. Democrats are running almost exclusively on healthcare in the midterms.

Trumps poll numbers have gone way done in all 3 States since he was elected.He shouldn't count on them in 2020 imo.
