Nothing in the constitution prevents Trump from running for President, and given how easily he got beat last time, why would anyone care if he runs again? Nobody has forgotten his disastrous handling of COVID and his non stop drama.

What is ridiculous is that Trump was trying to claim executive privilege over the executive office of the president. Not only that he was notified the records were top level security and a criminal investigation was underway to determine how they were handled and how to remedy any possible mishandling.

When world war 2 ended Japan stranded service members on a bunch of islands in the pacific for a couple of decades. When they service members were found they refused to believe Japan had lost and would not “abandon” their posts. So the Japanese had to get some of the old commanders to dress in their old military uniforms and fly them out to these remote islands to relieve these service members who refused to believe the war was over and they lost.
