Man's Best Friend Thread.

Crap, just starting the process of looking for a new best buddy and I realize we lucked out on our first two Goldens. The first guy we got after he failed the last test for becoming a living assistance dog, and we just made a $200 donation to the training place. The 2nd I happened upon online from a breeder in Iowa a 2 hour drive away. He was only $500 and a couple of road trips. Looking now I see $2000 or more for a Golden, or a Husky that my sons want. I know we can go to the local Humane society or local Golden rescue or the like, but I just had hoped to find a Golden puppy as these guys were such great boys I kind have an addiction to the idea of another Golden.
I'll keep looking and try not to end up with 2 or three. :))

One of mine's best buddy's is a Golden.
They are sweet, sweet dogs.

What Baron said! It may sound stupid, but I keep thinking it's walk time or looking over to the chair in my office where the goofball slept while I worked. It's time for another big goofball for us.

Every person grieves in their own way. In my case I just took my time to do so, then I got a cat. My house fell empty without an animal.
 
Dogs. There's a reason we call them man's best friend. We can learn so many things from a dog's behavior, personality, demeanor, resiliency, and most importantly, the willingness to provide their family members with unconditional love, loyalty, and companionship down to their very last breath.
