Mine's uncle is at least 3 years older, its her dad's brother and the two could be twins.... but he's owned by a husband and wife that are both professional chefs. I ran into them a couple weeks ago and I always ask how Ramey is doing (could give a f about their kids lol... but the dog....) anyway he is doing great. But they actually make their own dog food. And this dog, the last time I saw him in person was probably about a year or so ago, but he does look great. His coat shines like all get out and there was just a tiny bit of ribs that showed through. Lean. He told me my girl needs to drop a few pounds lol. Ok.That's what I did also. I tried different things and watched her. Real meat (not canned) was a one part of her feeling as good as she could. My family said she was eating better than we were... LOL ...whatever it takes...
Someone said a dog gives you their whole heart, and every time we lose one, we lose a part of ours... but eventually our heart is completely replaced by the love of all those dog hearts.
Don't know that I am saying that quite right, but you get the drift.
I think that's the plan going forward though. They buy chicken drumsticks when they are on sale and add a bunch of vegetables and some other stuff... he told me but I forget what else... they put them in a blender and make patties out of them and freeze em. Raw chicken. Bones included. I guess they puree it. I'll get his recipe and post it. Ram does look great though, so that's inspiring. I guess its just like humans ya know... if you have good genetics... its all in what you eat.
