We now have further evidence that Clinton’s claims were false. It is not that the U.S. government didn’t know what was happening in Rwanda. The truth is that we didn’t care.

At a side of jokes, which was my way to cover tears and fury, I hope one day soon politicians who are responsible for the death, especially atrocities, and in first place massacres, Ruawnda, will be persecuted and jailed with confiscation of their entire wealth and distribution of it to the families of victims. This should stop the current Theresa's from going ahead with random bombings etc. If I am not mistaken, we have seen only Slobodan Miloshevich dying in jail while was under investigation for his responsibility for Muslims massacred in Serbia. No one else...
Obviously, for them, it is better to divert the crowd attention to different madams and the first chakra's related scandals.

With the Balkans war going on at the same time Bill probably most whites saw it as a black on black thing and not attention worthy. The problem was as head of the UN, when the US did not pay attention to something, it got overlooked due to a bias. Had a Republican been in power it would also have been overlooked but we expect better from Democrats.

Because Rwanda was a genuine genocide, in 100 days perhaps 700-900 hundred thousand killed it got Israel's attention sending delegates in the following years (did nothing to help when it was happening either). What did they actually do with this connection? the friendly relationship of countries with a common horrible past? Make a secret agreement where Israel could dump it's black refugee migrants in Rwanda, regardless of what country they were actually from & with no documents.. nobody ever seems to have clean hands. The amoral who rise to positions of power always make something good, bad.

Though I was in Rwanda I recall encountering the Hutu killers who had fled the country once order was restored in the following years. What was amazing was how so many were unrepentant and this is something people don't grasp about the character of humanity. There was a study done about German prisoners where they secretly recorded their discussions.

In one case in late 1997 I was in a hotel in Mozambique and spotted two huge Hutu guys harassing a group of six obviously Tutsi girlfriends who were at the poolside bar. The girls were on holidays together. The guys were saying (I was told) "Don't you recognize me sister? I let you go free, I could have killed you but I let you go" and general things like that. There was no way they could have expected to get money, they were just trying to terrorise, years later, as they had developed a taste for barbaric sadism and fear in the eyes of the powerless.

What I'm saying is when men encounter war and experience unimaginable levels of butchery, many can be warped forever. The evil in men's hearts is not just a fault of the politicians it is their own.

First of all respect to you for the experience in Rwanda, thank you for been there and trying to help and thank you for sharing.
Two questions arising from this conversation - first the animal atrocity within humans once
they had a taste of killing...... not all humans. You don't, even if you were there. Others do. The indifference, the silence this is what makes it grow. I once spoke with ex-Israel army commandant, who participated in a number of armed operation. And on my statement that SS was inhuman and should never forever been pardoned, he said that it is just gun and lack of discipline and that he seen so many atrocities performed by Israelites in military operations that he can not speak against any nation - it is just certain people.

Germain soldiers..again .. they were under kind of general brainwashing for centuries. Compulsory education in the modern world was born there https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Compulsory_education, because they need real soldiers and so schools started, where children will be in the first instance rained to be obedient soldiers.
Plus all Nazis propaganda and burned books build them up on to become insensitive, inhuman. They have thrown babies in the air and had fun to gunfire them... How is it possible? The nation which gifted us with Goethe and Beethoven, Kant and Bach, Herman Hesse and Erich Maria Remarque, Albrecht Dürer and ThomasMannn, Brahms, Wagner, Mendelssohn, Schopenhauer and Schiller and so on, for not to name Austrians with Hayden and Mozart, whose soldiers was extremely efficient in the SS.
And here we are coming to the second point - the responsibility of politicians who are at the guide. How many were killed now in Surya during the bombing? They said none... I hope so... still how much expenses for the unauthorized bombing, based on a false alarm, UK's taxpayers have assumed for this mistake? What if only 0.1% of this amount would be penalized and deducted from PM's and other's salaries, of those who participated in promoting such illegal and violent action.
I believe it can stop them from repeating horrors. Most of this type of politics is simply greedy cowards those who close their eyes and did nothing against genocide. And I do believe that if proper judicial processes will be conducted against them it will prevent a lot in the future - the animal-type of humans will have less occasion to show their torturers side.
