They want to find the dirt on the jury that's holding out and how they got paid out. The only jury tampering that's been happening is the master cheetoh inserting his opinion publicly and chastising the prosecution as corrupt.

Now hearing that the judge had been threatened, this motion could have been a way to flush that out in public

Now hearing that the judge had been threatened, this motion could have been a way to flush that out in public.

They clearly state that a valid reason for denying the motion would be if there had been threats made.

Judge being protected by federal marshals in a case marked by the main defendant having being already accused of jury tempering is news.

They may be interested for rummaging around reasons but I suspect it was to reveal something else.

Both these posts are correct. The public has no business knowing who the jurors are at this point, but the media has no obligation to no start looking, even if there are crazies on both sides. I have no doubt any competent defense lawyer would've tried to get as close to 50% Trumpers on that jury, even if the trial is about financial crimes. Whether they can detach themselves from der Fuhrer is entirely possible, but I remain the ever pessimist when it comes to Trumpklins.
