Man loses $430 million from Netflix crash

My point is why did he exit, I know what's happening and I don't think 35% is a very big deal during a crash/crisis to realize a loss of a stock you believe in, unless you are leveraged, or you think this is the tip of the iceberg, or anything that makes you re-evaluate the investment and change course. There is hedging too.
At the end of the day it's a 5% loss if he manages 10bn, lots of money but not the end of the world, and definitely not enough to mock Ackman.

Netflix has crashed -80% in 2022

I thought all those Wall St fund managers constantly hedged their bets where they cannot lose too much, nor gain too much.
That's why they all, more or less, just barely match the S&P annual average, at best.

The best performing fund on wall street is a firm that day trades.
Control and realize the elements and variables within a trade, and try to minimize the unknown,

ever have a run in with a herbalife sales rep? lol weirdoooos

All sales people are "weirdoooos".
They all have this air, aura, of fake energy and desperation....quitely screaming....to like me, love me, understand me....and Buy what I'm presenting to you, please. Please,

Doesn't matter if you sell Herballife, Tupperware, perfumes, vitamins and supplements, homes, cars, boats, Courses, or are a social media personality, or even religion handing out pamphlets and books.

Happily no.

Though I have to admit when I was young and gullible I did lose $200 in a (no product whatsoever) pyramid scheme. I knew what I was doing but thought it was worth the risk.

Side note: I went to same High School (Far Rockaway HS) as Bernie Madoff although many, many years after him. ;)

Selling is selling, it's all the same...regardless of what you sell.

Selling is all about understanding and playing with people's emotions and desires.
If I see feet, toes, thighs, butt...I'm more likely to buy a Perfume or House, instead of seeing fart and an old man with a shiny, bald, head in old clothes.
Make a million dollar turtle, :D

Same thing with trading, but instead, you should see the bald shiny head on the old man...instead of the female with feet and thighs.
