all I can say is that I feel really terrible for two reasons:
ive had losing trades and I can honestly say that I was starting to lose my courage to post those trades. Ive been trying to present myself as someone who doesn't care about this money and trade carefree. but the last three trading days have been horrible. I don't feel bad that I lost because I did everything I was suppose to. but i skipped my posts because I was scared of what everyone here would think of me. it is sure easy to be a winner and have everyone look up to you but i can now see how a trader could change from there plan in the middle of bad moments.
I feel bad that i didn't post for three days and I said I had the courage to do so eaven if I lose.
sorry guys. this is sure harder than I thought it would be. Im not going to change my plan. Im not going to lose courage.
I feel like im in the middle of a heart to heart with my children and im one of the children.

Hi Vivian,
I admire your courage and candidness. Trading is a challenging enough endeavor unto itself. To add to the mix, to what is in your mind, that other people (especially from the anonymous public) might think negatively of you based on your posts is perhaps extra pressure you might want to re-consider having. If youâre feeling really terrible as a result of it, I think itâs your guts telling you something important. Please donât ignore them.
If youâve been following your trading rules, I believe this present draw down is temporary. And by the way, IMHO, now is probably a good time to reduce your position size just a tad to 1) stem the current equity hemorrhage, 2) to regain your footing and confidence and 3) reduce the stress.
Best Wishes
Kermit

a small profit today. I was short for the whole day so there were times I though I was going to have a very good day and times I though I was going to give it all back. Being a Mechanical trader, my system doesn't tell me to do anything in between.

viv,
Could you imagine making this every trading day? If you could tighten up your risk somehow and lower your expectations this could be an interesting twist to your system.
However....
Some say the most successful traders are the ones that get a big win and several days with small losses. I just don't think the ES gives that much anymore, to pay that way IMO....
Sorry for giving advice on your system that I know nothing about...Perhaps it does not need fixing, you seem to be doing fine...it was just a thought.
