If you can manage the time; please show me anyone who routinely trades 6E and calls the contract E6. I can't recall the last time that I traded the 6E, but I wasn't confused on the nomenclature. If I spotted it; everyone did.

And yeah, 6E futures volume is without value. The market is laughable when compared to the the US OTC market in spot, let alone forwards. Disregard arbitrage between 6E and cash and you're left with zero utility. It's simply pointless to model "E6" volume (nod to Munchausen).

Currently I don't trade the 6E but I have recently been testing if some of the models I run on the ES would transfer. Below is an example I posted in another thread when the OP asked about random spikes in FX. And yes I am aware of the misdirection of arb volume, it exists in all markets so forgive me if I don't take your word that Exchange volume of the 6E is useless just yet. For now, I am just going to continue doing my own testing.

PS. I hope you don't bail from ET. I enjoy many of your posts while cringing at others but I do know I would not want to battle you in an options trade off or a bar fight.

Barchart quotes most Futures wrong. Many stocks too. I use Barchart as a backup EOD quote source, so I have a translation file to convert Barchart futures symbols to actual exchange futures symbols. If anyone is interested in it, I will be glad to post it. I don't think anyone other than Barchart and its resellers (like EODData.com) use the Barchart symbology. I certainly doubt any actual trading front-ends do. Barchart often gets their contract expiry date wrong too, especially in distant expiry contracts. So you have to calc your own expiries if you're using Barchart futures data.

Yes I have been actually and trust me, I have seen successful traders and no, TRUE successful traders are never a**holes. Because what is the no. 1 requirement to be a successful trader? To be able to take emotion out of trading. Being cocky and putting your peers down through arrogance, being a**hole, that's having emotion. Once you put emotion into your trading, you won't be successful for long. True successful traders treat their trades as nothing but carefully planned transactions. Since they are just doing transactions, there is nothing to be cocky or to be a**holes about because you are only as good as your last trade.

Still waters run deep. This statement applies in every single profession including and especially financial trading.

You can't say for sure unless you walk in specific person shoes.

There is a lot of effort put in over long period of time to find working method.
After that method is established and is successful it leaves intellectual vacuum.That enormous attention to detail is put in to other use,for that i don't see @destriero being arrogant at all, he is just channeling that attention for something useful.
