To be honest, I don't get the whole futures ticker infatuation here. E.g. instead of saying "I trade the long bond" somehow people think it's cooler to say "I trade ZB".

Yes, please enlighten me about the "downside" involving publicly revealing IP addresses in message posts made by all members especially after Baron himself has now publicly done so including posting a very nice image w/ map of the member.

There are some members who would have a real life problem with that, like myself. If that rule was instituted, I'd be gone rather quickly. It's totally ok to be anonymous as long as you are not trying to sell a service, IMHO.

Anonimity gives the opportunity to share things you would never shared if your identity was revealed.

Baron can try it out, with risk of losing a big part of his members in short time and forever.

When I registered there was never mentioned that my IP adress might be published. So it would be a violation of privacy laws.
