Trying to be patient in figuring out what to be patient about. Its interesting that you don't consider any ON activity. The multiple tests of 3800+ ON and the resulting sharp fall right till the Open, was saying something about the overall balance. I am guessing you did not go short at the Open?
The weakness thesis was confirmed by the rejection of the attempt to break OH. My short at 3790 was scratched at BE once price retraced back to entry after some decent initial favorable movement. Getting out at BE is fine if the action does not present any compelling evidence of likely movement one way or the other. But in cases where the overall line is primed for a big movement, one has to give it room to manifest.
Approximating these larger probabilities is what I need to work on next.
