Make no mistake, Obama was on the ballot yesterday

Not only was Hillary on the ballot, but this election was a referendum on Obama.

Yeah, I know all the clowns were claiming that Obama is really popular. According to who? The assholes who are telling us that Obama is so popular are the same assholes that told us the Hillary was going to win in a landslide.

The movement that Trump "started" is actually The Tea Party. That's right libs--it never went away. Establishment Republicans had better get used to it.

The Tea Party : of course. I was wondering where they had gone !!!
They just offered a new "leader" - Trump and thus rebranded themselves.
Add to it, the low turnout and it was in the bag!

The Trump movement represents a fusion of the Tea Party and the alt-right.

It is the logical continuation of the populist/nationalist theme articulated by Pat Buchanan and in somewhat coarser terms by George Wallace.

Apparently it took a celebrity billionaire to close the deal with voters. It's morning in America again.

Couple of observations. As I've been speaking with friends and acquaintances two common themes came up. Those over 40 were very unhappy about healthcare and the younger guys are unhappy about job prospects. One guy, mid twenties, didn't vote at all, said, and I quote, "Trump is dick but if I get a better job I don't give a fuck". Seems to me that the unaffordable ACA and the Obama job market of part time temp work growth while manufacturing continues to fall apart played a major role in how people voted. Trump was promising better opportunity while Hillary was promising continuation of Obama policies which were/are failing. Not really complicated at all why she lost.

I didn't think Obamacare was that big a deal now.As I previously stated I volunteered for Hillary and talked to hundreds of people over the phone and in person trying to get people to the voting booths and I am still in disbelief how many many democrats said they weren't voting because of Obamacare.9 times out of 10 when people said they voted democrat the last 3 presidential elections or more and said they weren't voting this year the reason was Obamacare. And nearly everyone of them couldn't be persuaded. In most cases we couldn't even get them to promise to think about it.
