We’ll see more data on this because there won’t be a shortage of cases for months.

Often people take for granted the same issue as when Covid first emerged, our healthcare capacity. People are forgetting the implications of overburdening the healthcare system.

Right now we do have a low fatality rate but that is because of monoclonal antibody treatments - which are themselves experimental and developed with embryonic stem cells- and the hospital bed capacity to treat them.

If/when we hit these large scale infection numbers we can lose the ability to treat a significant number of patients. You all may recall a major issue early in the pandemic was hospitals sending infected people home who were marginal and them dying when the illness turned and they were not being observed.

It's has reached a point a long time ago where I will no longer post the same thing over and over and over again for your amusement. Especially since the topic was recently discussed. This "show your source" nonsense when a poster knows very well know the topic was recently discussed is merely a ploy being done for their amusement at this point -- I am not going to play this game any longer.

You’re right and they don’t even care what the data and science is anyway. They’re just going to push a narrative based on complaining and conspiracies.

Here is a recent article on Monoclonal Antibodies. Thanks to improved treatments and vaccinations (recently) to the CFR in the U.S. has gone from being above 3.4% to being near 1.7% currently. Someone posted a chart of this over time in a recent discussion.

Sadly there are numerous article recently about hospitals reaching capacity with COVID cases. So the earlier problems with overfilled wards and people being turned away are about to repeat themselves.

If you show a source, it should be easy for you to link to where you showed it.

Of course, when the source is poor or has been proven to be incorrect, you'll say things like "I'm not playing that game anymore."

Yes... their constant re-posting of conspiracy nonsense that is clearly false information is amazing. It is also effectively a study in human psychology and people holding on to fabrications despite being presented with correct information.

Back to the subject of overburdened hospitals. Even children's hospitals are now hitting capacity because so many COVID cases are among a younger unvaccinated population.
