Major Sources of World Problems, then and now?

What are the major sources of world problems (conflicts/wars/murders/violence/etc), historically and currently?

Greed - of Wealth? of Power? of Status? of abundant Food? of Knowledge on Holy books?!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greed

Are these problems resolvable, individually and comprehensively, given enough time?

How?

Corrupt puppet leaders under the control of some very bad people.

5000 years isn't enough time?

I would say Greed is #1 with Power #2 and Control #3.

Current mankind is nothing but an elevated monkey with the same desires as other apes. Unfortunately our brains intellect has outgrown our emotional intellect as a species.

Resolvable, probably not in our lifetime or our children's lifetime. Maybe in 2000 years but by then we will most likely be wiped out as a species according to Stephen Hawking.

Don't worry - Just build another Wall, physical or virtual!!! :D:

Speaking at the Oxford Union, he said: “We must also continue to go into space for the future of humanity.

"I don’t think we will survive another 1000 years without escaping beyond our fragile planet.”

Hawking has previously warned that humans survival is at risk from nuclear war, genetically engineered viruses and global warming, the New Zealand Herald reported.

Speaking recently, Hawking said our future would be a robot world where our children battle climate change .

The military kicked out Saddam Hussein pretty quick smart, but that turned out to be about 1 per cent of the task. For the next 99 per cent of the time they flailed around, wearing camouflage and driving Humvees like a bunch of total bosses, but not really making much in the way of useful progress. Instead lots and lots of people died and the place eventually got taken over by ISIS.

“There would be no Isis if we had not invaded Iraq,” according to former US military adviser David Kilcullen, speaking in 2016.

(It turns out the senior ranks of ISIS are full of a lot of former senior people from the Saddam Hussein government that couldn’t be employed again, and are seriously mad at the USA.)

Having a gun in your house for self defence makes you more likely to shoot yourself or a family member than an intruder. Could having an ever more powerful military make you more likely to make interventions that make global security worse not better?

Written words can be another major source of world problems!

Holy books are written words by different religions.

Fundamentalists live by the written words of the holy books they believe, individually and collectively.

Extremists are often misled by the interpretations by teachers of written words based on their holy books.

Jesus said (virtually): No teachers! (As the only qualified teacher is God/Nature!)

Some religious teachers use written words to control the mind of religious followers. Often pointing the deplorable individuals to targeted written words on the holy books they believe, usually blindly!

How many wars were caused by some deaf/blind/mute individuals, who are unable to recognise written/spoken words?

If written words had not been invented at all, can this world be more peaceful? And less problems?

With spoken/written words, people can simply run away from another person who once shows/displays unfriendly manner.

Without spoken/written words, people can Smile to show friendliness to others, and even Give a lovely Hug! Don't worry too much what words will be spoken by others in return, causing unhappiness!

Man-made laws are made by man to control others by establishing authority/power, basically. Rather than to provide individuals liberty and freedoms, that nature law is good at!

Jesus was wise!

No written words directly from him, at all!

Only natural law!

The only word(s) that he wrote was just written on sands!

Do people care what word(s) he wrote on sands?

Why would he write that seriously on sands, rather than merely spoken words as usual?

Did he ask his followers to record/write down what he said to them, knowing that he will go away forever very soon?

Now he starts writing, probably his firs time that can be seen, this time hence must be very serious/ important, however with words only written on sands, should his followers (be reminded to) record down these words to pass it on?

The words written on sands may be actually not too any words. Maybe just one simple word! Therefore, no need to record down. But, What is that?

Truly spiritual indeed!

Are we ready for the answers? After 2,000 years passing!

LOL
