If people stopped getting free or discounted housing, no EBT, welfare and any other "entitlements", they get their asses out getting jobs.

I did not at all see reasons of getting funds from government during COVID.

We have all the freebies and people still rather be homeless, cut off funding, build tents and stick them in prison camps.

People only change if forced or tortured for many.

Guy approached me at grocery store with 20lb porterhouse and wanted $50, saw his EBT card, he certain get a job selling. No, didn't buy it.

Lets look at some violent inner cities for example. They are havens for crime, violence, and bad dedisions. I can point to many impoverished area’s in our country that have average to low crime.
Its a cultural issue as well. Some forms of behavior seems to be accepted in certain cultires in our country and thats sad.

You mean like the home you grew up in. You need to rise up above that shit not continue to be this degenerate asshole we see posting on this site right now. Stop blaming minorities and "inner cities" for your personal problems.

THAT's no excuse+ crime rates were real low from1929-33, with much higher employment+ poverty much worse than now.
AS if Bernie M, Enron execs.... were poor / they sure were not poor .

so + crime + resulting poverty can be connected.

I believe in 1960's, gov't gave out 13 items like cheese, milk, veggies, hamburger etc so if you didn't know how to cook-you learned. There was limited welfare.

Why not instead poor eat at government building full meals and hire for preparing instead of EBT. If you need welfare, you drop kids off at daycare and grab a bag and pick up litter, get rid of paint on buildings in their neighborhoods.

Legalize drugs to be sold like in Colorado with high taxes and thereby stop wasting huge sums of stopping it. Other countries legalize it.

I carry a Glock 19, am very accurate and practice often, have no problem defending myself or others. I live in Texas and many carry. But even still, most people have trouble taking life and end up dead.
