Main reaaon for economic poverty in USA ?

I live in BC (northern health region) and the medical care system here sucks dicks. Period. I don't care how it compares to inferior medical systems, but its below any reasonable standard for sure.
Me too!!
I've had treatment for cancer and bypass surgury and although wait times and communication is frustrating to date it hasn't cost me a cent.
When we get to discussing healthcare and socialized medicine I can usually end a discussion with my American friends by asking how many Canadians have gone bankrupt because they couldn't pay their medical bills.

Planned paernthoods are mostly in low income area’s where birth control is free and yet the out of wedlock birth rate in the black community for example is about 75%.
This is a cultural issues and community leaders say nothing. The problem isnt so much poverty but the cause- No family structure.
Have you considered hormones as a possible cause?

Well, I don't compare with the US system. I know folks in Prince George who can't even find a dermatologist anywhere. Others who are still waiting for months for urgent cancer surgeries. The quality and training of medical professionals in the BC North is absolutely horrendous. Zero family doctor availabilities for anyone from Prince George all the way to Rupert. Only walk in clinics sitting next to junkies who wait for their treatments, people who dont pay a single cent in taxes. Then a huge shortage of medication for kids all over Canada. That is what you call first class medicine? Where I come from this is third world medicine.

Socialized medicine without any private care plan options results in abysmal quality care. Alberta is doing a way better job at medical care.

You live in Canada? I thought you lived in Europe.

What would all of you say the biggest reason for poverty in the USA is today in 2022?
I would say poor choices/ bad decision making tops the list .
Any thoughts?

Culture and environment. I'm most impressed by people who are born into a bad environment and do well despite their circumstances. Poverty, single parent, surrounded by bad culture and did well despite all that. Of course that's not the only ingredient. Lots of reprobate degenerates come from wealthy families. Beyond that, work ethic / delayed gratification comes to mind. Culture pretty much sums it up. Has nothing to do with race. Everything to do with value system.
