I disagree. They make bad decions such as having babies at a young age and out of wedlock as well as committing crime. Not all poor people of course.
Also a lot of people want to live off the system and play the victim game.

Oh, that kinda decisions. Well, you don't need to be an idiot to understand that your life will be screwed if you get into those situations. I was thinking mainly from an overarching societal problem.
 
You describe a niche of society. A tiny minority are in financial trouble caused by babies out of wedlock and the like.

The majority of folks who are living paycheck to paycheck are those in the middle class who make poor choices. (1) Divorce is one of the largest causes why folks financially struggle, (2) endlessly buying toys, (3) sky high cost of education and medical care and (4) stupid decisions such as thinking insurance (home, car, health,...) is not for me...

Its not a small minority. Go to any inner city and its an epidemic: out of wedlock babies, playing the victim, and a thug lifesyle.
Thats just the truth.
 
After see the very wealthy and very poor, [I grew up next to a an individual that made the Forbes 500 list(Harry Williams/Modern Waste Disposal : Seeing the Seattle homeless drug addict community) ] I comes down to a few things. Personal choice, associated culture adoption, knowledge base.
After getting nearly wiped out by a drug addicted girlfriend, I am clawing and rebuilding my life. Knowledge and discipline must be present in order to build wealth. Having capital to start with only is a stepping stone to becoming rich. When you start over from the below the bottom, you can state with confidence what it takes to become wealthy.

Well I can understand why you own personal experiences lead you to this conclusion. You've been playing the victim on here for years. Welfare and social assistance does not cause poverty. If it did Canada wouldn't have LOWER poverty rates then the US. Without a strong social safety net a country is basically screwed trapping huge numbers of people in poverty and dead end jobs. You might see a huge rich/poor gap in such countries.

The main reason for economic poverty in the USA is the Democratic Party.

They do everything they can to keep people down so they will vote for them.
 
Far too many people keep making the same
Mistakes- having babies out of wedlock, committing crime and just keep making the same excuse..
