No its not in the ghetto but it appeals to a very specific taste....

The photos make it look bigger than it is. It's only 5000 sqft and the owners as asking $1000/sqft which is about double of Grenwich CT. And I bet the living space is even less because the sqft might even count those long hallways around the courtyards.

Even with all that said a 2 bedroom 1300 square feet luxury condo in SF is going for $3M thus a house with 5k plus square feet only a mile or two away at $5M....
Plus you will have Michael Lewis, Robert Reich and Janet Yellen as your neighbors.

I'll never understand you city folks. There is no such thing as luxury at 1300 square feet, no matter what the decor, the views, or who the neighbors are. And 3MM is nothing less than insanity.

I need wide open spaces. Yes, it gets a little cold up here, but I think you could stay fairly warm in what 5.5mm will get you in this neck of the woods:
