On a plane - ok, fine. I get it. I have travelled the world, taken thousands of flights.. and never worn a mask on a plane. Caught a few bugs here and there. You think I would have done better wearing a mask all the time? Doubtful.
B1, I don't understand why you and a few others here have such a burr up your ass about wearing masks in public. Its not that big of a deal dude and its not going to last forever. Unconstitutional? Which part? Obviously you have an opinion on this, and I'd like to hear a rational explanation.
While not apples to apples necessarily, was it unconstitutional to (ultimately) ban cigarette smoking indoors in all public places? Oh second hand smoke was proven unhealthy? Well, Covid is transferred via the air, person to person. And don't tell me "FALSE"... because if its not, how the f is everyone getting it then? People can still smoke in their cars, in their homes, in their backyards, basically anywhere they want as long as its not indoors in a public place around a bunch of other people. There's a lot of parallels here if you really think about it.
Here's another one. Was it unconstitutional for states to enact seatbelt laws? If I choose to not wear a seatbelt, that should be my choice imo; and yet its not. That one always bothered me. I can see seatbelt laws being applied to minors, but not adults. Its their choice right? Not anymore though. Government overreach(?), probably, but many can argue it raises insurance costs for all of us.
So again, I don't see what the big deal is. I like my N-95's. You can argue that everyone needs to catch this stuff so we can move on. That may or may not be the case. I know you think you know everything about everything, but I really don't think you know more than the experts... on both sides... and from what I can see, the verdict is still out on that. And besides, can you honestly deny that it kills high risk people? I think those numbers speak for themselves. I highly doubt that while many in this country despise Trump, that there exists some sort of coordinated deep state conspiracy to cook the books on those numbers. Yeah so granny was gonna die anyway... why did we get her a flu shot for the last ten years then? So she wouldn't get the flu and die. Well.... we don't have a vaccine yet, and its pretty apparent that masks do in fact slow the spread. I don't need a PHD in microbiology to figure this out. Its common sense.
So... I'll be the first to scream unconstitutional about anything, but I really feel you are making a mountain out of a mole hill on this one bud. Who cares?! Wear a mask when you're around other people for a bit. They aren't using this as a backdoor for the eradication of the 2nd Amendment or whatever else is floating around out there on the extreme right websites. That's just stupid.
The problem is -----what's next?
99.9 percent of transmission is from touching your face, not through the air. Dirty masks are of no help.
