Maybe, maybe not. I was never anti mask in general, but wearing one in the gym did seem not quite right to me. I still think it's a bit dangerous if doing intense and sustained cardio. I do my shadow boxing cardio workout in my garage so no mask is needed. Not that much hindrance when lifting weights.
My position on masks remains the same generally speaking. Can't hurt, doesn't provide as much protection as people think, especially considering so many people are wearing some half assed face covering rather than a mask. The glove wearing is a joke because 99 percent don't know how to properly remove them. Like I stated in my original post in this thread, better Hills to fight and die on than mandatory mask policy.
I have seen the blow drying of the balls more than once. I walked past with my hand blinkering my eyes and they guy said "I have to apply talc!", made it much worse.
I just do my usual, climb up and down 26 flights of emergency stairs a couple of times carrying an old roller suitcase filled with 2/3 topped up water bottles (better wobble) as arms length as I can, as fast as I can move. 25 Kg / 55lbs is fine.
Gyms here are too much temptation, it leads to an unsettled mind
