Exactly -- the point is that a knife is a deadly weapon. If an officer comes on a scene where someone is actively trying to stab someone else -- and the officer did not take immediate action with a firearm to put a stop to the situation --then the officer would be fired for being negligent in their duty. The cops can't win.

Cops are paid to "protect and serve" Shooting someone attacking another person with a deadly weapon comes under the "protect" part. It is an unfortunate situation -- but the officer must take action.

Well you and others are usually promoting that a cop should be punished for doing their job.

We never said he should be given an "attaboy" -- I stated if he did not take action to shoot someone attacking another person with a knife then the officer would be fired for failing to "protect" others. No. I was asking why no news coverage to speak of? Why no BLM activists on the scene? A black person did die. Why no acknowledging the rise in violent criminals getting younger and younger. My post was about a different killing altogether and the police were not involved at all until after the fact, which seems to be the goal of the activist left. Just let these kids sort it out and pick up the bodies in the aftermath.
