MAGAtards plz....

Its not a binary decision. There are other things I don't support that the Republican party supports. But my choices are Democrats or Republicans. I certainly wish I had 30 or 40 choices, but I've got two. And the Republicans stand for more of what I believe in than the Democrats do.

But I wonder if you'd explain something to me. When Obama had 60 votes in the Senate and the control of the House, why didn't they pass lasting gun legislation? Why didn't they do so in the first part of Biden's Presidency when they had the ability to do so? Surely if Democrats were so anti-gun, they'd have done something, no?

Theres a lot of shit Obama should have done in his first term and didn't.Sandy Hook hadn't happened yet when Obama had the 60 and that was the turning point for many Dems including myself wanting tougher gun laws. Before Sandy Hook tougher gun laws was not an issue for me.

There were other events that had happened prior to Sandy Hook where a mass shooter had gone on a rampage. Still, if it wasn't as important to you back then, then it wasn't as important. But what about the first two years of the Biden administration where Congress and the Senate were in Biden's control? Democrats could have passed UBCs, but they didn't. Why not if it is just Republicans against gun control?

Maybe, Democrats should start enforcing the thousands of gun laws already on the books. They can write another 5,000 gun control laws and it would not matter one bit. Criminals will not follow any gun control laws because they know that extreme liberal district attorneys will let them walk even for serious crimes like rape and murder. They do not even got locked up nowadays. Cops risk their lives to even arrest any criminals these days. A lot of cops get shot at and killed daily.

I do, and you're consistent about it (which is something most of your fellows on the left cannot claim). But its not just Biden. The democratic party could have proposed the legislation, and they did not. They had the ability to do what you are saying the GOP doesn't want (to control guns, etc). And while I agree with you that Republicans aren't interested in passing legislation, the Democrats aren't either. The only difference is that the Democrats are using the gun discussion in dog whistle fashion to rally the left to outrage without ever having any intention of doing anything about it.
