We spend far more on 1 years defense budget than we have spent on Maui and Ukraine.Helping Maui and Ukraine doesn't cost a lot compared to 1 year of US spending.

You can't talk about cutting the defense budget (which I agree with) and in the same breath talk about spending on Ukrainian defense. Well, you can, but it sounds really...well, off.

And even if you try to say that we should spend on Ukrainian defense but not on anything else defense related, all you're doing is just opening up some other hole in the wall for aggression by Russia, China, etc down the road. You either support getting involved in other's wars, or you don't. Choosing which war you support is just a subjective, slippery slope. You like these guys, but not those guys. He likes those guys but not these guys. And its all spending.
