The odds are that the cop did not need to do that .....But cops being killed are a black swan event......and the one time you allow the suspect to position himself to his preference...he pulls a knife and gets you.....for public relations the cop needs to be written up...case closed

Again show me one video of a cop acting like that with a compliment suspect

Cops can be nasty.....they spend their day encountering the people you and I wish we never meet....it has to wear down ones patience

Again the beginning of the video shows non-compliance from the suspect.,belligerence

That cop said he did not know he was in handcuffs , he knew there was yelling and then saw this....the suspect not listening and turning his head around

Is the cop lying..,maybe....
What the cop did was to much and wrong..but its hard to image that at a busy intersection the cop would straight up just kick a handcuffed person in the head..

UPDATE
A grand jury subsequently indicted both officers.
Bongiovanni pleaded no contest in 2019 to aggravated assault and was sentenced to six months in a jail work-release program, followed by five months of house arrest.
McDonald (KICKER)was convicted by a jury and sentenced to 10 years’ probation with the first 11 months on house arrest.
