It's sad how the left can be baited so easily, walked right into what the righties claimed, that he was an authoritarian, and just proved them right w/this shit. It will likely cost libs parliament and Canada may end up w/alt-righters in it.


I haven't followed super closely because "whitey aggrievement", but as far as I can tell it started as a workers' protest that got hijacked by anti-vaxxers and now anti-government/neo nazi types. I don't know how pervasive the latter is or if the media would just rather kill the 1st two by highlighting these elements. As far as I can tell, they've been fairly civil (no storming of capitol buildings) akin to tea partiers & occupy wall streeters.

Since righties are usually more effective w/their protests however, they're costing the economy billions (mostly in the bridge protests). Cops are default righties so are refusing to do their jobs to retake these places as they sympathize. Because Canada's quirky, Trudeau can't quelsh the protests because the provinces can't call in the military unless the PM calls in an emergency's act. So Trudeau's stuck w/putting in an emergency act to clear the bridge/streets. Rather than take the optics hit (which looks like 80% canadians would support), he's taking a page from Xi Jinping's playbook instead.

Which part is incorrect?
The attack happened AFTER the police arrived.
They were called for a "well-being" check, NOT for an attack.

"Police Chief William Scott said during a Friday news conference that officers arrived at the Pelosi home for a well-being check shortly before 2:30 a.m. PT. Police then witnessed an attack on Paul Pelosi. Both DePape and Paul Pelosi held a hammer moments before a violent confrontation, Scott said.

“The suspect pulled the hammer away from Mr. Pelosi and violently assaulted him with it,” he said. “Our officers immediately tackled the suspect, disarmed him, took him into custody, requested emergency backup and rendered medical aid.”

This might be all BS too but ... is it?
