Who said anything about isolationism?
Just because I don't want to be getting into wars all over the world doesn't mean we can't do honest business with everyone.
Our business relationships would be MUCH better.
Maybe we should try building something to HELP the world rather than KILL the world.

There's nothing to disagree about my points. The US controls the world's financial system, its economy depends on the manufacturing and sale of weapons, its credibility rests on its commitments to its allies.
Those are facts that won't change in our lifetimes and I don't say this in approval of that reality.

The discourse I hear today is a meeting of the minds of the radical left and the radical right on many subjects, including the role of the US in the world, US military policies, our relationship with allies....
