This statement is dishonest: "You support a women's right to kill a human being before it is born."
aborting a fetus is not killing a human being. if you don't believe that pregnancy is a choice specially for the woman then you can't understand what women's rights are about.

That would be 21 to 22 weeks.
But an embryo becomes a fetus at 8 weeks. How is that not a human being?
The heart beats at Day 18. How is that not a human being?

I don't think we can reach an agreement.
Everyone agrees that babies out of the womb are officially human beings and have the right to life. but not everyone believes that the fertilized cell from conception has the right to life. the right to life is somewhere between those two moments, you consider conception as the start and I see somewhere in between as the start, and don't see it as "killing a human being" before that point.

as you just mentioned a few of the milestones during the term of any pregnancy like an embryo to fetus, heart beating, other organs forming and... any of those can be considered as the start point.

the dishonesty comes from the notion that you think you are right, cause it's what you believe in.
Regardless, this debate will not go anywhere. I agree to disagree.

I will tell you it is clearly a human when it can survive outside a woman's body.
When a 21 or 22 weeker is in a NICU getting care is it a human? Was it not a human 30 minutes prior in the mom? Does it magically change going down the birth canal?

So any killing after that is the killing of a human being. How can it be argued any differently.

The debate happens before that but I have never met a pro abortion person who says we should not have abortions after 21 weeks. Hence every pro abortion I know is for the right of a woman to kill human beings.

You can agree to disagree but calling me dishonest without answering the point that proves my honesty is total bullshit.

And even that leaves out one point... some argue that a pre born baby is a human being at conception and if we go with that definition I was clearly not dishonest.

My agreement is irrelevant since I'm not the person carrying the baby, that's the first part. secondly, my personal opinion, as I mentioned before is somewhere in between. no abortion should be done in the last trimester. that is my belief and opinion and will not be pushed on anyone. I won't call people baby killers if they have to make that hard decision. I don't know people that are "Pro-Abortion", the ones that I know are pro-choice (an extremely hard choice)
PS. I'm sure there are folks out there, who believe, their sperm is a human being as soon as it's formed in their testicles.

The mother can decide when her fetus becomes a "baby" with consultation with her doctor. The law and the medical community can decide when it's too late to have an abortion, but the irrational ideas of people like you who wish to impose their theories on others do not matter. I'm sure there are plenty of things about your conduct and lifestyle that some would think are immoral or unethical, but they have no right to control those aspects of your life. An unwanted pregnancy or dangerous pregnancy is life changing and none of your business.
 
This is a completely different argument.
If we can't decide that killing a pre born baby is the killing of a human being, we really can't begin to have a real conversation about ethics.

The reality is that many abortions are the killing of human beings.
The debate is about whether and when we should allow a women and her doctors to kill the pre born baby.

If you live in society and you are halfway sentient and honest with yourself you realize that the wills of others are imposed upon you all the time.

You can't even walk on your neighbors grass to get to the beach without permission in many states.

So you all need to refine your thinking before you can have a reasonable and useful discussion.
Society has determined it has a right to tell you not to kill some of your pets.

Under no reasonable understanding of how law and society works can you say that we as a society have no interest in protecting the life of a human being.


You say... well I think a mom should be able to terminate the life of her pre born. That is your conscience and your moral choice and belief.
Others will come to a different conclusion.

Which is why I say leave it up to the states. That is how our founders left it.
And, I say that knowing I live in a very liberal state which I am pretty sure would vote for some abortion.

So use your brain. I believe in democracy. I am not attempting to impose my will on you the way your are attempting to impose your belief on me.
