Guatemalan Consul General Tekandi Paniagua told CNN that Nery Gilberto Caal, the father of the little girl who died on December 8 after entering the U.S. and being detained by Border Patrol agents, told him the agents did everything they possibly could do to help his daughter.

I totally agree. But, you have to put yourself in the Agents' shoes. They are out there everyday, rounding up groups of migrants that have crossed into our country illegally. They see a little girl with her father that is vomiting. Ok. We've all seen sick kids dozens of times. A little girl vomiting out in the middle of nowhere after what she'd been through up to that point certainly justifies a heightened awareness on the part of the agents taking her in.... but NO-ONE in their right mind would consider calling in a helicopter just because a child is vomiting. They would be mocked. Its ridiculous to even consider such a thing. They would probably lose their job.

And one more thing to consider.... let ANY American citizen in ANY city commit a crime while in the attendance of a child... and watch how fast that child is removed from that parent by Protective Services. The MSM would now have us believe this dad is a victim? pffff. No.

This was terribly terribly tragic thing.... an innocent child died a suffering death; but please, you can't blame the agents out there doing a thankless job day in and day out that are dealing with hundreds if not thousands of these situations every month. I mean bad stuff is bound to happen. It is. And to call Trump a murderer?! I suppose no child ever died under any other administration's policies? And what do you suppose would have happened to this child had they not been caught by the Border Patrol and had pressed on through the desert? Think her dehydration would have fixed itself?
So Tony... you need to get a clue here. I try to keep my opinions balanced down here with a degree of intellect.... try to do the same brother.

Let's get to the facts of the matter - which are outlined in the Cuomo video clip (posted earlier in this thread):
  • The young girl was not vomiting or sick when the Border Patrol took her and her father in custody.
  • Both the young girl and father were given water and food nearly immediately after being taken into custody.
  • The young girl got sick during the bus trip to the detention center which was 95 miles away.
  • The Border patrol called ahead for EMTs to meet the bus.
  • The EMTs made the decision that the girl should be sent to a hospital.
  • The father accompanied his daughter to the hospital. They were not separated.
  • The young girl was revived twice and had a very high 105+ degree fever.
  • The medical staff did all they could to save her life.
The Border Patrol is not the evil party here. They did everything decently and properly to save this young girl's life. The Border Patrol did not abuse the illegal immigrants, nor did they withhold water & food - these type of claims (as outlined by Cuomo) being pushed by the left are absurd.

It's flat out evil for the media to try to pin this girl's death on the border patrol. Now that the facts are coming out, it seems they did everything they could to save this girl's life. It's sad that the media would take a tragic death like this and try to twist it to fit their political narrative.

Sounds like heat stroke honestly. It gets rough down there even in winter....I have a hard time believing the dad let her daughter go without water (possible if lost for hours/days though).
