The man lived a great life and is going to pay the ultimate price but he' s old and probably have memories most of us could only dream of.

Just because people have done worse things doesn't make it alright.
That's like saying: oh, you only chopped this guy's arm off, at least he's not dead. Carry on.

Madoff story makes me think another "interesting" character; Frank Lucas, eventually their money goes back to government, and of course; lawyers.

And there is a high probability given the chance to do it again..he wouldn't. He went from heaven on earth to hell on earth....He didn't even have to do this for him to live large..he was already living nicely I assume.....
