IMHO, this kind of scare just does not effect the markets like it use to. the public appears jaded by years of phony frights and bogus claims.

one mad cow in alabama now. not a big deal either. the safe haven hog trade got hammered today also. if a whole herd starts showing then i'd be concerned. what really concerns me is ranchers hiding cattle that are showing signs of infection

I am convinced that here in the U.S they will use this bird flu to try and scare the hell out of us just like they do with their daily dose of terror news.

Sooooo, with that being said, regardless if the bird flu is going to be here to wipe us out or not if they just manage to scare the hell out of the population...like the duct tape thingy, what stock would be a good candidate to short?..KFC? (or who ever owns them) or whom?
