Washington mall shooting: Gunman kills 5 people, disappears

(CNN)A man carrying a rifle entered a Macy's store at a mall in Washington state, shot dead four women and a man, and vanished into the night, police said.

Authorities believe only one person fired the shots at Cascade Mall in Burlington on Friday night.

A search is underway for an armed man who headed toward Interstate 5 after the attack, said Sgt. Mark Francis, a spokesman for the state patrol.

Francis released a blurry surveillance picture of a man described as the suspect. His motive or relationship to the victims, if any, are unclear, he said.

The names of the victims were not immediately released....

We will see over time what the story is. The police have now released a series of photos from security camera of the suspect, and the descriptions of witnesses are making sound more like terrorism -- however the preliminary FBI statement says there was no known link to terrorism. We will see what the reality is after further investigation is performed.
 
Arrested 20 year old Arcan Cetin, 24 hours later 30 miles away living with his folks, walking down the street. Immigrated from Turkey with parents. Stole his folks gun(s) to go kill ex-girlfriend at Macy's. A comment on this page suggests he called the leader of the Islamic State his "main man". If so, it sounds like he got a license to kill from Islamic evangelists and used it to do his bit for the (Islamic) cause, and a little bit for his own cause. You can't just shoot your ex-girlfriends in America, so you need to get a license to kill everyone within 50 feet of your ex-girlfriend from the license-to-kill department of the Islamic State. Had history of domestic violence against his own "step-father" in past year, causing court to require mental health checkups. Step-father declined a no-contact order thinking if he could have more contact with the violent youth, he could help him.

Could be because Burlington Wa is heavily populated with Hispanic immigrants, both legal and illegal...as it is surrounded by farmland (I based my operations out of the Burlington area for several months last year). The media could be taking a swipe at that, or, was hoping against hope that the shooter was not middle eastern again as his appearance suggests. Sounds like the youngest, 16 yo victim was Hispanic who survived cancer in her earlier youth, but could not survive the Islam infecting the youth from Turkey.

These terrorists certainly don't like hispanics. We had the pulse shooter go and kill a bunch of gay hispanics, now you have this guy killing hispanics.

It sounds like the democrats have to be more selective of who they pander to. Whats the point of pandering to gays and hispanics if you are going to pander to muslims who are going to turn around a murder the gays and hispanics.
 
It appears to be straight-up Islamic terrorism from a nut-case. None of the victims were his former girl-friend like other reports attempt to claim. The previous domestic violence complaints were related to his step-father, not a girlfriend.

"Local media outlets had identified the victims as of early Sunday. One was 16-year-old Sarai Lara, a cancer survivor and high school sophomore. Her mother, Evangelina, told the Seattle Times that through a translator that she was shopping with Sarai and her younger sister, but they split up.

She said Sarai went to Macy's looking for pants. News of the shooting spread through the mall, and Lara tried to get to her daughter but was unable to do so.

KIRO-TV identified two more victims as Belinda Galde, 64, and her mother, 95-year-old Beatrice Dotson.

The Seattle Times identified the other two victims as Macy's makeup artist Shyla Martin, 52, and Chuck Eagan, a Boeing maintenance worker who was shot while helping his wife flee the store."
