Macfutures rumours

Quote from Xenia:

No more X_Trader after May 15, 2005.
This for all Mac offices? including london? Any idea what they think the other options are? what software do they think people will be able to trade with that compares to X-trader?

Does anyone have any clue as to how GHCO settled and what the TT demands are? read most of the FT articles but no real details there.

Cheers,
FGBS

GHCO are widely believed to be paying TT 5c a side.

TT have issued termination letters to Refco subsidiaries globally, including London. 7 May is the official shutoff date, but Refco have applied for an injunction to block this.

Is that 5c a side plus the monthly fee?
5c a side on top of whatever else they were paying before.

In answer to a previous question, TT issue quarterly access codes to all users. The most recent ones issued to Refco users expire on 7 May, after which they will not be able to access TT.

Quick straw poll as I've heard differing stories: when are Mac pulling the plug on TT? Has it already happened?

please tell me this is not the rumor you were referring to when you started the thread.

Smaller prop firms are now taking refco traders
like sharks taking chunks out of a dying whale.
For what reason ?

Because Refco traders can´t trade without TT´s X_Trader ?

This must be a rumour ...

Refco Pro is an inferior front-end than TT. That is true. Traders don't like having to switch software with week's notice, esp. if it's not as stable. Do you think the court can save RTS now?
