My experience has been exactly the opposite. If you have a genuine Windows license and follow the proper installation procedures it is the easiest, foolproof way to install Windows and I have not had a single hickup in all these years. Bootcamp holds all the drivers you'll need.
Prior experience were with Toshiba Tecra's and IBM Thinkpads, last one the T61P built under supervision of IBM engineers. Don't like the laptops that Lenovo produces, not in the same category as under IBM. Lost count of how many laptops I've gone through, well over 20. (and don't get me started on the early Dell Latitude's, NEC or Sony Vaio's that I've had too.....)
