That's not that surprising,
It's New York City....the Center of the Universe, or at least Finance, Wall St, Manhattan -- and many other industries. You're not talking about a random mid-size town in Ohio, or Idaho, or Utah or Maine.
You have big salaries, big bonuses, big deals, big trades, big egos, big insecurity and a culture of one-upmanship.
