Lowest IQ state also the most conservative...

You are entitled to your own belief, why not?

If you want to tell the world that your tactics are VERY effective...go ahead. Play with yourself to your heart's content.

Sorry for you but stating the patently obvious is VERY effective.

Quote from shortie:

if somebody comes from Mexico and takes an IQ test administered in English, he can't score much...
Using that "logic" I'm gonna take a guess that your I.Q. test was written in ancient Greek. :D

Quote from Maverick74:
..I'm sure you (optional/ZZzzzz) know that Mississippi has one of the largest black populations in the country at 37% and one of the poorest and least educated black populations in the country. They no doubt are pulling down their state IQ score and yet you use this state of all possible red states as your example...

Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Apparently then, the good folks in Mississippi have trouble with the English language (goobers) and are not effectively educated...
Quote from OPTIONAL777:
IQ isn't supposed to measure education, but innate intelligence.

"According to most definitions — although they are not conclusive — intelligence is made up of the skills of logical reasoning, problem solving, critical thinking, and adaptation."

(For the simpletons, those are not primarily learned skills, they are mostly innate capabilities...meaning you can try to teach goober the skills of logical reasoning, problem solving, critical thinking but goober just doesn't get it...though good teachers should not give up trying to help the goobers. I am a firm believer that proper nurture can help overcome nature...and lack of proper nurture can retard nature.)

IQ was supposed to measure innate intelligence for the purposes of determining learning dissability, but in actuality now it measures education, culture, bias, etc. as much as innate abilities. It measures nurture as much as, if not more than nature.

In the old days, test were given to very young children who had not been through that much schooling, but these days days it is given to adults.

If given before the nurture of the education, it is supposed to measure more nature. If given to adults, it measures more nurture, as adults have been through whatever education they have received up to the state of adulthood.

What is an IQ Score?

Originally, IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, was used to detect persons of lower intelligence, and to detect children of lower intelligence in order to place them in special education programs. The first IQ tests were designed to compare a child's intelligence to what his or her intelligence "should be" as compared to the child's age. If the child was significantly "smarter" than a "normal" child of his or her age, the child was given a higher score, and if the child scored lower than expected for a child of his or her age, the child was given a lower IQ score.

Today IQ testing is used not primarily for children, but for adults. Today we attempt to write tests that will determine an adult's true mental potential, unbiased by culture, and compare scores to the scores of other adults who have taken the same test. So today we compare an adult's objective results to the objective results of other adults, and determine how intelligent each test taker is compared to all other test takers, instead of comparing test takers to an arbitrary age related standard.

Few people realize that the tests being used today — of which the IQ test continues to be the most popular — represent the end result of a historical process that has its origins in racial and cultural bigotry. Many of the founding fathers of the modern testing industry — including Goddard, Terman and Carl Brighan (the developer of the Scholastic Aptitude Test) — advocated eugenics.8 Eugenics is a movement concerned with the selective breeding of human beings. Selected human beings would be mated with each other in an attempt to obtain certain traits in their offspring, much the same way that animal breeders work with champion stock. The eventual goal of eugenics is to create a better human race. The Nazis took this idea to the extreme. All “inferior” humans, especially Jews, retarded children or adults, and any individuals with genetic defects, were to be destroyed; and so many ill and retarded people, and many Jews, were killed during World War II.9

The founding fathers of the testing industry saw testing as one way of achieving the eugenicist aims. Goddard's belief in the innateness and inalterability of intelligence levels, for example, was so firm that he argued for the reconstruction of society along the lines dictated by IQ scores.

The sites below referenced above give a good history/explanation of the IQ tests:

So a low I.Q. score today means the adult has become stupid instead of necesarily being born stupid? But they are still stupid, right?

Yet you had no problem referring to I.Q. scores to try to make your point, which was mostly BS anyway.
