Well in the interest of hearing all sides of an argument.
Generally when you get an immediate email back from these guys you have struck a nerve.
Let me say I like Adam. He's got a tough beat. His view on CEGE has been driving me crazy. He firmly believes the trial will fail. So I'm getting that out there for those of you who don't go to thestreet.com now and then...
Here's our morning get together:
I'm starting to think your alias is appropriate...
TTP -- I've written fairly extensively on iloperidone in the past. I
don't like the drug. It won't get approved the first time around. Why,
then, would I like TTP?
DNDN -- huh? I wasn't trying to say anything about DNDN, I was merely
applying its experience with provenge to medarex. Was that hard for you
to understand?
CEGE - ah, you're biggest gripe. I'm sorry, let me be crystal clear for
you: GVAX PROSTATE DOES NOT WORK! IT WILL NOT WORK. THE VITAL-1 STUDY
WILL FAIL.
Why should I care if CEGE goes from $2 to $4, or $6 or $10 if I'm very
confident that the lead drug is junk?
And today's news? Give me a break. Stop toking long enough to realize
when you're being diluted up the ying yang. CEGE already has close to 79
MILLION shares outstanding, fully diluted. Now, Sherwin is adding
another 15-16 million shares on top of that!??!
With the $145 million in convertible debt due in 2011 very much
underwater, the company will easily have 100 million shares plus
outstanding by the time VITAL-1 fails.
Good luck with all that.
adam

You know Adam I give you the benefit of the doubt
when I talk to folks. But I just read through 6 pages of
Mailbag nonsense absolutely nothing vital Titan &
DNDN again! A complete waste of time and I have sent
you 2 emails already asking you to re evaluate your
negative stance on CEGE. For whatever reason you
have failed to step up. Fine, don't even do it now you
will surly reach to form a conclusion backing your first
one. The Stock has gone from $2.90 to $3.90 on your
watch and today sold 7 mln shares to a private
investor @ $4.22. $28 million bucks or so wagered,
still in your view there's no cancer platform there that
will amount to anything.... Strange.
