Lost Generation, wow sucks to be young today.

If you listen to that interview again he is surprised that he didnt think that this would happen to him, being only 27 and out of a job.

The problem is that no one is paying attention to what is really going on in the economy, everyone will tune in to watch "reality television", but the only reality programs they are watching are american idol, dancing with the stars, the bachelor and jersey shore, that's why no one has any comprehension about whats really happening in the economy. Ask anyone in who is 26 or 35 about the economy and they wouldn't have a clue, all they care about is if the mall is open until 10pm and where they are going to meet their friends for drinks this Friday night.

I doubt it. They are living at home with mom and dad watching reality TV shows etc.. As long as shopertainment is open and Kardashians are on TV and NFL football still going on, reality tv popular I see no risk.

exactly right.....

clacy's problem the typical right wing denial. We are in shit, becuse outsourcing, big corporations and corrupt criminal politicians NOT the unions or democrats you delusional stupid fucks like us to believe. Nobody, I fucking mean nobody believes this bull crap you spew except the evangelical right that is too fucking stupid to live. So when someone who intelligently points out that the class warfare is coming from the criminal/mafia right you stoop to name calling. How about that chart you stupid fuck? No comment? I rest my case.

Quote from EMRGLOBAL:

The rich have and are waging class warfare on the poor, that's why.

-------------------------

You'r a total Piker. The Corporate Scum who believe in Corporate Socialism and who suck up to the political parties have waged war. The scum bag failed traders like you, who champion Obama and his Ass clown base are declaring Class Ware Fare. Idiots like Buffet and Soro's , Bloomberg, et all, are waging war against the poor .

The Federal Government is waging war against the Middle Class.

So, Mr. Failed Trader, define RICH please. According to idiots like you, small business owners fall into the definition. I make 6 figures plus and I am no where near being "RICH" but according to ass clowns like you, according to the Gov, according to OBAMA and his ass clown base, I am Rich and therefore, need to pay more in Taxes so "Failed Traders" like you can afford the DSL/Wireless company who allow you to access the internet to post your stupid shit.

What are the rich doing?
- They are waging class warfare on the poor.

Since when have they been waging warfare on the poor?
- Since 1980 predominantly the warfare wen't into overdrive.

What method did they use do do that?
- They put Reagan into office to promote reaganomics, also known as trickle down economics, a modified form of keynesianism.

What are the effects of trickle down?
- Taxes are lowered, spending is increased. Under Reagan and under Bush the national debt tripled and doubled.

How does this effect the poor?
- Spending with no regard for income, like the rich and their frontmen the republicans have been doing since 1980 leads to dollar debasement. The poor have suffered intensively to trickle-down as their dollars dropped severely in value.

Wait, wouldn't dollar debasement hurt the rich also?
- The rich have most of their wealth in stocks. This has only a 15% income tax, compared to 30% to the poor. By outsourcing and by granting themselves stock bonuses, kickbacks and overpaid government contracts the rich have even managed to outpaced inflation. The graph clearly shows the average rich in 2011 has over twice the spending power of an average rich in 1980.

If this is true, why are poor and middle-class people still voting republican?
- Most of these people have fallen for propaganda by the rich hook line and sinker (including EMRGLOBAL). Last week Boehner called Obama for creating a Buffet tax, somebody who is waging class warfare on the rich. See what is happening? The rich is waging class warfare on the poor, since 1980, and have managed to convince a huge 50% of the population that the warfare is the other way around! As history shows in nazi germany, the bigger the lie, the more people believe in it.

graph illustrating currently the rich have over twice the spending power compared to 30 years ago. By comparison, only the upper class gained spending power, middle class and the poor lost spending power.

Plenty of jobs out there. It's either they think they are too good to do it or they are lazy and want to live with mama and daddy till their 50. There are jobs out there if people REALLY want one.

They gots 24-hour free Internets p0rn for every taste and freaky fetish... it's not like they got to go out and date, get married, buy a house, have kids. So, why take the assistant manager job at Abercrombie at the mall... it's not like they want to meet chicks. Just stay home in mom and dad's basement and 'bate.

Seriously, a guy who owns a gym told me that a huge section of his market dried up. He still gets the housewives and middle-aged men who want to lose weight. But, he says young guys who want to get buff have disappeared... I asked where they went, and he told me they are at home 'batin, and they see no need to look good for the ladies since they like Internet p0rn better than trying to get the real thing.

It's a strange world out there.

Only problem is you need to know some mathematics and statistics.

So, yeah, if you borrowed $100k to get a degree in psychology or English literature because math is too difficult, then you will have a hard time finding work. I understand that the poetry of Keats and Shelley feeds your soul, and you really wanted to borrow $100k to read that stuff and have plenty of time to participate in Greek Week on campus, but your English Lit degree does not give you any skills that employers need right now.... or in the future.

I am not at all sure, but the "...or in the future" part may prove incorrect. It seems that "in the future" good language skills may become quite rare, and as such, may demand a premium. I'm thinking that English may not be such an impractical major after all.
