Los Angeles Traders

The la assent office is a joke, whoever tradeking is obviously knows...it has the biggest collection of non existent incompetent traders I've ever seen. I trade here but not much longer....another week or so.....started at kershner in Austin, and now assent through Austin tx office....been living 1 year temporarily in los angeles, trading for 4 years. The city is great for my other stuff, but la offers nothing the way of finance/trading......glad I know how to trade from real trading offices, I wouldn't wish the la assent office on anybody...never seen weirder incompetents in my life......not trying to be rude....but its true....go somewhere else if you want to trade...I'm back to Austin then a gig in NYC....people need to know the truth about it...and nobody is even really running the place.....its so bad I had to ask for a private office...happy searching
 
I keep seeing this thread pop up so I thought I'd say whatup, so...whatup???

I'm in Malibu, playing stock options with small money right now but looking to ante up and trade long term. I've been at it been at it on and off for two years, I like daytrading the YM, also considering prop stock trading.
 
I live near LAX and have been trading ( full time and now part time ) since 1997. If anyone is interested in getting together in Los Angeles send me a message I would be interested.

Great! I will like a get together also. I'm open to suggestions. Where & when? Centralized location maybe good to accommodate people coming from far location. Luckily, none of us are selling any thing :p
It will be wonderful ... to see & meet other traders around here.
 
so is the chicago wasserman/assent office to be avoided also? i am currently seeking an entry level trading position in the chicago area. It seems that the more research I do about a firm, the more dirt turns up every time on this forum. I am to have an interview with them soon, is it worth it to start my career here ?

Does anyone know the capital required to start , and commissions ?

Good question....will be nice to know since I have not met any trader in their Chicago office. My focus for now is the LA branch of prop firms. I hope that their Chicago office will, at the very least, be far better than here. Chicago is home to many prop firms to chose from. Firms have to meet certain standards & get themselves to a comparable level in other to compete...or they go out of business. It is not like LA, where anything goes due to lack of competition.

Their deposit is 10k for prop & 30k for retail, no desk fee. Commission depends on your negotiation skills & # of shares/month. Hope this helps...goodluck with your search. :)

Especially they who already full time trader and make living from that, please join and share your success to us.
We also welcome all who seriously wants to become a professional trader.

I want to list all trade from LA based on where they are (San Gabriel, San Fernando, Santa Monica, etc) and want to united all the traders here.

Just inform your email address + MSN/Yahoo messenger + where you are (i.e Rosemead, Culvercity, Long beach, etc)

Hopefully with this we can connect each other, and can be a good tools for traders that want to find another in the same area.

We can grab some food together or maybe you only wants to meet each other in your area in LA.

I want to try make some groups here, and if necessary i can make a forum especially for us !

Or if you know there's some groups in LA and when is their meetings, just let me know - i will collect them and make a 1 new bigger group (or at least inform others that don't know there's such group)

In the end i will summarize and make a list all of you and all of the group and their meeting (if exist) here and let you all know

BTW, I have no other intention, i just want to meet and know other full time traders in LA and share passion&thoughts, as trading is a lonely job, right ? :d
