I have found that markets never stay at extreme out of balance open interest condition very long - these are signals I use to start looking for market directional change swing moves.

Hi ES. Just wondering if they are out of balance now? Mvector's post was back in January but still a gem to remember if I knew how to tell when the /es is out of balance. I am of the mind that the commercial institutions would like to keep the market propped up at least until after they issue their quarterly statements at the end of March. I think the rally should be safe for another week anyway.
