Looks like another long weekend rally

Ok see it now on CME, new this year:-

"Commencing in 2022, the Exchanges will observe the Juneteenth holiday each year as more specifically described in SER 8887 dated December 14, 2021."

Another day that we retail traders don't get paid. Seeing that this just started this year, I bet you this is just another scheme to rob us retail traders of opportunities of making money unless they have some very good reason to pick this arbitrary day to stop the market.

F***!!!

Just think, if people had just been nicer to each other we could have had ONE MORE TRADING DAY. But no, people have to be dicks to each other. How many more trading days could we have if people were nice to each other.

1999 dot com bull interest was 6.5%, 2007 subprime bull 5.25%, & now even after a 'big hike' with interest <2% and the market plunges. That is the insanity the Fed/central banks have created.

Yeah people have been so used to market going just one way. My mother is screaming murder because her mutual funds are all going down. LOL I tried to explain to her this is just the market correcting itself because the majority of the growth that we had in the market during the pandemic was not normal; it was not based on real growth in value or production; it was due to the central bank just creating more paper, more money. I told her the stock market made up of all the stocks of companies is supposed to grow only when the companies have made money. We just had the pandemic for the last two years where the majority of the companies have shut down or cut back on economic activities. Sure people worked from home but it was nowhere near full capacity how could've those companies made real money? She told me "so what? Who cares if the stock market has gone up because of money printing? What's wrong with that? Why can't we just continue to have the market going up?" LOL

That's the typical investor mentality.

Its been celebrated by some folks since 1865.

Maybe somewhere on Monday there is tinfoil being traded? Check into it.

Whining about the markets being closed a day and ascribing some ulterior motives behind it is not IMO the typical trader's mentality.

Yeah I just found it's to celebrate the ending of slavery of African Americans. I thought we already have Martin Luther King's Day and Black History Month to bring awareness of African American culture and suffrage. Do we need another holiday to bring awareness to the same issue? Seriously?? And if you really want black people to be free and do well for themselves, how about you let them trade and make money?? Instead of what, sitting around doing nothing and watching things becoming more and more unaffordable?

I originally thought this is to rob us retail traders of opportunities of making money. Now I think this is just another of useless Biden's tactics of appeasing special interest groups to pacify the mass against his incompetence in governing the country and leading the world.

Great! How about they celebrate it in private and let us trade and work??!! If they haven't realized, it's working to produce s*** that will actually drive down inflation provided the Fed doesn't print money at the same time.

If you traded the CME futures, you would not feel slighted. You would feel glee, because you never get a weekday off, and only half a weekend.

The futures open for trading in 15 hours. Sorry you are stuck in stocks, which will not open for 56 hours. Oops!
