looking to trade part time

Hello,

I have been looking to prop trade on a part time basis to start. Looking to work Friday's for 3-6 months before going full time. Is there anyone out there that could help me with this. Full time employment after I learn is my goal. I could put down a small deposit if necessary (1k). Thanks for your help

You won't learn anything trading once a week... trust me... 4-5 days/month is not enough, and you won't "learn" in 15-30 days...

lots of leverage providing brokers will take a $3-5k deposit and leverage you... there are firms that will back you, too, but not if you can only commit to showing up one day per week... no one will let you open an account with $1k, either... and if you're only going to trade one day of the week, Friday is the worst day as that's when the markets are slowest.
 
Yeah i'm sorry, i think that approach may do you more harm than good...do some swing trading for now, get some books, work at it that way.
