Looking to hire a hedge fund recruiter...

Quote from trade-ya1:

Occasionally, but I would say very rarely. If they do, it's typically somebody who has been an ex-CEO or very senior executive of a major corporation in that industry or a formerly famous analyst who wants to work from home or retire. Sorry, I'd love to work from home too! All the best..Neal.

What you have described above would be IMO a consultant or a board member job I was asking about TA analyst or a " entry and exit signals generator dude ."

sorry for stepping in, but that is not how MOST hedge funds ( those who can afford to hire staff) trade.

I have emailed Neal a few times for industry/hedge fund advice. He has always responded and been helpful and genuine. For anyone who thinks he's trying to get over on people, you're wrong. Why would he be in the headhunting biz if he didn't get his cut (which is probably right around the industry standard). Hope things are going well with your fund. Mike

I had a different experience. I had a few PM's with Neal after his post last year about looking for traders. Then the ball got dropped somewhere. And nothing ever happened.

And now the "aquila'' is no more..or has just had a name change. That always makes me a bit nervous.

Trade well.

Hi Uptik,

I'm sorry if you feel that the ball got dropped. Honestly, at this point, I don't remember where we stood. I am still here, the Fund is doing better than ever and we have hired more prop. traders for the other business. The name change was due to a trademark infringement with Aquila Management Corp. a $5 Billion mutual fund located on Madison Ave. I conceded to change the name rather than go through the legal cost of a court battle. All the best..Neal.

Thank you for the support Turlo. However, those are old articles. For those looking for more recent information, you can see Euromoney Magazine November 2003, 4-page feature story on our Fund entitled, Hedge Fund Manager Survives Mutual Fund Fallout, or this month's Alternative Fund Services Review (industry publication) whereby they have done another feature story on our Fund entitled, 'Apex Species'. Not that i'm looking to brag or anything...;0). Neal.

In fact, there is always a job for someone with a strategy that truly makes money as an 'alpha' generator and is repeatable with consistency.

Really? Who is truly looking for trading strategies? I haven't seen anyone yet. Please define:

- "truly makes money"
- "consistency" - does it have to make new equity peak every week, month, quarter, year?
