Let's be honest----there has been way too much illegal immigration under numerous presidents. It needs to be stopped and stopped now. I believe that this president will accomplish that.

Trump isn't matching Obama deportation numbers
Immigration and Customs Enforcement has deported more immigrants this fiscal year than any full fiscal year of Donald Trump's presidency, but it has yet to reach Barack Obama's early deportation levels, according to new internal Department of Homeland Security figures obtained by Axios.
Why it matters: With four months left in the fiscal year, it puts Trump's deportations in perspective and shows the reality behind the anti-immigrant pledges that have come to define his presidency.
By the numbers: Under the Obama administration, total ICE deportations were above 385,000 each year in fiscal years 2009-2011, and hit a high of 409,849 in fiscal 2012. The numbers dropped to below 250,000 in fiscal years 2015 and 2016.
- Under Trump, ICE deportations fell to 226,119 in fiscal 2017, then ticked up to over 250,000 in fiscal 2018 and hit a Trump administration high of 282,242 this fiscal year (as of June).
- ICE and DHS didn't respond to a request for comment.
- Yes, but: Such a pledge is ambitious given the current pressures on the agency and its limited resources. As the AP points out, ICE is "already overwhelmed, lacking staff, funding and detention space for its current work. And any massive roundup that includes deportation of families would be sure to spark outrage."
And Trump will build a wall that will cover the entire border and Mexico will pay for it.
That's my point. He's been in office for 2 1/2 years and the problem is, if anything, worse. Even worse, people now are beginning to accept it as normal. Dems now find it objectionable to deport anyone.
Trump has many options to stop this insanity. Instead he appoints people to crucial jobs who actually oppose his policy and do everything to undermine it. He would be better off appointing people picked randomly at one of his rallies. I can't name one Cabinet or high level pick who has been any good, except Bill Barr.

Dems have now dropped any pretense about illegals not voting as well. They are brazenly encouraging it.
take out just California and Trump won the popular vote. I do agree that common sense would tell one that illegals are voting and so we need to get that stopped postehaste or the country will be gone.
Trump is doing fine. Republican Congreff did not do fine. He basically is taking care of this himself in the last 2 yrs of his 1st term.
Ted Cruz won by a tiny margin in Texas against Beto and his one page resume. DeSantis in Florid and the new governor in Georgia won by even slimmer margins against laughable race hustlers. Whether or not Trump wins will probably not matter too much, because he is likely the last republican to get elected. Without a massive deportation effort along the lines of Operation Wetback in the 1950's and a moratorium on new immigration, legal and illegal, the entire country will turn into some nightmare version of California. That would be the state that once elected Ronald Reagan governor.
Trump could have held the tax cuts hostage for the supposed immigration policies he wanted.Stop making excuses for him.
