Looking for bonds

I have found gazprom bonds! But i do not understand what means SMART exchange. And why coupon is 8%. It seems too high! The lot size is also huge. 100 000$.

Apart from the electronic order book for retail bonds on the Lse then 1 bond is $100,000 in every issue. That is why etf's exist.

Just checked on tws (IB's plarform) and whereas I found the bond and this is during trading hours i can t see neither a bid nor a ask price, but the chart shows a little volume over the last month.

May be it is because it trades on euro markets

YES!!! Eventually, I understand that!Thank you! It is because of multiplicating effect of 30 years period.

And then what should i do in my case? To risk 30% of deposit it is not good for me. I am not ready to wait 30 years to get my money back :)

I am just want a safe place to keep my money, because it is too risky to keep money in Russia.
What should i do? Buy some short term bond ? I am ready even for 1%.

And is it safe to keep money in IB?

Bond market is not only the 30 year bond. There are shorter term US bonds plus treasury bills not to mention corporate bonds...

those are US market time, not sure if it is tradable. Might be easier to buy it through a bank but the spreads are nasty there. Most bonds I check have large spreads btw, but this one has no quote.

Shorter terms are possibly better, since you wouldn't get as big as a loss when rates rise...

But for just storage of money, why not a term deposit? 6 months or 1 year... maybe better than bonds? Don't know if the interest rates are interesting on those though...
