Dear Investor10:

It can be done.

I am currently a 30 yr experienced full time very aggressive independent day trader, both in equities and spot forex, with a much deeper and to be valued background. I am usually in my office on the screens about 60 hrs. plus per week, sometimes all night depending on what trade(s) I am managing which in the past have been up to $4MM.
I use IB, in addition to others, and I almost always go mostly flat before I sleep.
I like to sleep peacefully leaving very little to chance, and so should you.

After the "flurry" subsides, please take a look at my link, printed here (reading all the way to the bottom please) after which time we might talk.

Important: As you should, or are already aware, you will remain with sole ownership and sole access to the funds, and you will have almost instantaneous capability (should you so desire) to hit the stop button. I would have it no other way.

Kindest Regards,
Harvey Gordon

I am working with three accounts at the moment, and producing about 80% per year. I am not looking for more accounts to manage, but I would be willing to discuss it with you to see if we have a mutually agreeable basis for doing business.

I need to talk with you at least an hour, and ask you some very personal questions about your background and plans. If you want to do that, let me know.

I doubt that we will be a good match, because English is obviously not your first language, but I'm willing to talk with you and see.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought this was a no-no (NFA or CFTC) to solicit as you have done above. Also being 72/73 years old shouldn't you be retired and enjoying life? After all, with your claimed returns you must have made millions upon millions in your younger years as a trader???

Edit: After viewing your Linkedin profile it is impressive and I have the utmost respect for anyone who saw active combat in Vietnam. But you appear to be a motivational speaker, among other things. Do you have a long term documented record of trading success? I ask that since I would assume if you trade for others you have to provide something to show you are a successful trader. I am not trying to be ornery but this site has a history of those who do the talk but can't do the walk via real money multi year trading statements.

You asked to be corrected if you are wrong. I'm correcting you.

I did not solicit. I said, "I am NOT looking for more accounts to manage..."

FINRA, NFA, and CFTC rules do not apply to private individuals helping one another if one is not licensed. I used to be a Registered Investment Advisor. Now I am not. I am just a guy talking to another guy. It's nobody's business what we talk about or what we agree to.

I did not make millions in my early trading years. During the first 14 years, I never had a winning year. I had some winning trades, but at the end of the year, I was always net negative. After 14 years of losing, I finally learned enough to make a profit. That was 1984.

For aspiring traders, please don't lose heart, I think today you could learn to be a profitable trader in only a year or two. Things were different in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. It's easier now.

I don't make millions; last year I only made about 16%. This year is looking better, so far. Over the past 30+ years, my average return has been about 30% per year. In 2008, I made only 11%.

I don't know where you got "motivational speaker." I have never been a motivational speaker. I lead introductions for Landmark Education for a couple of years. It was a volunteer gig. I hope it motivated someone, but I wouldn't call myself a motivational speaker in any sense.

Regarding retirement, been there, done that. I retired when I was 52, bought a Honda Goldwing motorcycle, rode across the states and back, took up golf, and generally goofed off. My "retirement" lasted about a year. It was boring. I don't plan to repeat it.

BTW, Larry Williams (I trust you have heard of him) is older than I am. He has certainly made more money than I have, and he's not retired, either. I suspect trading is not about the money. I wonder what it is about. Can one of our fellow traders tell us?

Good answer. I'm sure the OP didn't contact you.

30% over 30 years....

A greater record than the greatest investors of the modern era and no one has ever heard of him until his 3rd post on EliteTrader in a post full of humblebrags.

I guess he is not going to get any business from you. Good he didn't ask.

You absolutely did imply that you would manage his funds...

The fact that you claim that you are not licensed does not mitigate the fact you are soliciting. If anything, it most likely violates other laws or regulations...

Your disclaimer is an epic fail...

agree with optioncoach...

agree with newwurldman ... 30% over 30 years, amazing claim...
What is the difference between soliciting and responding to the OP question?
