Looking for a mentor

Hello all,

My name is Aaron and I am new to elite trader. I was recommended to this site by Mr. Mark Braun himself. I am a recent college student looking to enter the complex realms of trading. He suggested that I find a mentor that can teach me and show me the ropes so I wont end up as a failure statistic since I recollect that 90% of traders fail. I want to be disciplined and I am willing to spend a lot of time honing the tactics that can make this a very lucrative source of income during this hard hit times. The reason I am reaching out to you all, is because you have been there and done that, and I have reached a point in my life where I want to have streams of income and am searching for job opportunities in the realms of finance and trading. I would appreciate any help and comments as well.

There are many threads on elite trader and around other community sites that will help guide you. As far as finding a mentor goes, personally I have never come across a guy that is willing to mentor 1 on 1 for free. A guy who want's your money to "teach" you how to trade is a phoney and that's how they make their money, not through trading. My advice to you is to find an active thread with genuine guys willing to help. Stay away from indicators, signal services and bots. Price action trading is the way to go, support and resistance levels, time theory etc. Pick up a Larry Williams book and learn about sentiment and the cot reports. Don't system hop, stick to your guns and you will make it out there. You are about to enter a brutal world. Its not as easy as the guy on the forum trading a demo account makes it sound. Risk management is of utmost importance, Don't over leverage . Keep your risk below 1% when you first starting out. Aim for consistency, not the next big trade. You can make millions by fishing 20pips out the market every WEEK. Take this advice and run with it. Good luck to you and Merry Christmas
