Looking for a mentor. European timezone

I’m curious, does mentorship imply sharing one’s edge? In other words , to be profitable you need an edge. If you don’t reveal your edge, is mentorship going to be too generic just like books?

I understand mentoring as someone who would look at your current way of trading and would suggest improvements. They should be experienced enough to see your trading plan and push you further.

They wouldn't recommend a specific strategy, and if they have an edge they might disclose it along the process but not explicitly.

You are not looking for someone to tell you how to trade, you are looking for someone to give you a challenge in order to understand trading. Strategies will come after that knowledge.

At least that is how I see it.

I have never used a mentor, but I think there are both good and bad.

And, I do not think there always are any correlation between prices and quality with mentors.

The www.itpm.com has some remote program 10 weeks 25.000 dollars, 1h per week over sky/zoom. They are former traders from Goldman, JP, Bank of Amerika etc.

www.david-hale.com/book he is also on Elitetrader and have been trader for 23 years takes 170 per 1h. David has been a US proptrader. I do not know if he has traded options.

I have in the past, meet a couple of former floor traders that invetited me into their offices. But I did not have a clue about trading, any money or the time at the time, so i did not take their offer. But, they did not aske for any money

I do know Anton Kreil, not personally but when I was living in the UK his name was mentioned a few times by a couple of colleagues at the time.

I did look at some of his work a few years ago and his style is certainly entertaining. I watched those videos on YouTube when he was in Singapur. He can definitely teach a few tricks, just by looking at his team he has some of the top traders close to him, surely something good must come out of that.
He has some detractors, many people say that he is a scammer. I don't personally think that, but I understand why people might think that his way of speaking is a bit cocky sometimes and not too trustable.

Some free videos from the Institute of Trading about option Greeks and market volatility are actually what got me curious about options.

I don't know David Hale, but I will look for his work.

That is just your opinion, as valid as any other. I am looking for someone that offers mentoring as a service.
You have posted two times on this thread, one joking about your wife and the other trying to tell me what to do, both replies are useless for what I am looking for.

You ought to realize that you think that what you say is important to others, but it is not.
I know I am wasting my time here but one last piece of useless opinion:

You have no clue how good some of the traders on ET are. They do mentor but don't provide mentoring service. Good mentoring is not a service and good mentors don't ask for anything in return.

Several posters were willing to mentor and I am a profitable option traders because of them. I will be a profitable day trader because of others. They all remained anonymous and never asked for anything in return.

Ok, a few questions back to you:

Why do you think that I am not able to see that?

Why do you think that you are the only one that can read posts and tell me what to do?

Why do you think that I am not profitable trading options?

Your problem is that you don't understand what I am looking for. And you keep talking.

You assume some things that are far away from the point of the post.

Let me try again, this post is for someone that is offering mentoring as a service. I had some useful replies. That's not for you, that's not for any of the users you mentioned. That's why they don't reply to this post.

We all can read the forum and we all can see the benefits in some posts. But we also can see the bunch of wankers who think that they can reply to a thread when they have nothing related to talk about.

The forum is full of "I assume that". And you are one example.

This thread should be almost empty, with a couple of messages the most. But because there isn't any moderation on this forum people like you can post.

Go somewhere else, I don't ignore anyone. There are more posts to waste your time on.
